The Partnership has developed its own tools and methodologies as follows:

          Performance review:
  • Interview questionnaires for staff at all levels, councillors and partner agencies, and users and carers;  
  • Observation of practice;
  • Analysis of data and other information;  
  • Document reviews; and
  • Case file audits.
          Communication strategies:
  • A regular newsletter to ensure staff across a range of disciplines and locations received a timely and consistent message about the project and proposed changes; and
  • A reference group comprising front line operational and administrative staff to enhance knowledge about the project and receive staff views.

    Performance management:

  • Development of a more user friendly version of PRINCE 2 documents and processes.;
          Contract monitoring:  
  • An Associate is developing a good practice framework for monitoring contracts.;
          Case file audits:  
  • Formats for auditing case files in terms of the quality of the practice and compliance with requirements; and
          Chronology:
  • Production of a case file chronology that is compliant with the recommendations of the Climbié Inquiry.

    Briefings:  

  • Production of briefings (no more than four pages) to assist front line managers to understand key concepts such as;
  • Managing the Social Care Business in Local Authorities;
  • Performance Management Framework; and
  • Managing Self and Others in the Workplace (includes reference to the HSE standards).
